Our most popular way to experience the
Gauley River Canyon. Most paddlers familiar with the Gauley choose this
trip!
Day 1 unfolds with 13 miles of class 3-5 whitewater thrills on the
Lower Gauley, which is widely considered to be a step above the Lower
New difficulty, but a step below the Upper Gauley. Enjoy our riverside
deli lunch and at the end of the day treat yourself to a barbeque
dinner at base camp and camping at our base camp.
The Lower is the ideal warm up for your second day on the challenging
Upper Gauley. Day 2 wake up to a hearty home cooked breakfast, gear up
and board the magic bus to the base of Summersville Dam, where the
upper Gauley adventure begins, and experience miles of raging class V+
whitewater.
