Are You Experienced?

How do you top one of the greatest whitewater rafting trips on the planet?  Do it twice in one day.

The Double Upper is geared for the certified adrenaline junkie. Starting at the Summersville Dam, you’ll hit all of the Upper Gauley’s Class Vs and everything in between. Recharge with a delicious riverside lunch, and then it’s back to the dam to do it again.

This trip requires previous whitewater experience, physical stamina, and a lust for adventure. A note from your psychiatrist that states you’re not crazy is appreciated but technically not required. Finish the day with the beverage of your choice. You earned it!

The “I Want It All” Strategy

This strategy is usually formed around the campfire the previous season.

“Next year, we’re going to do the whole river in one day!”  Hear, hear!

Why not? It’s been done before, and it’s waiting for any whitewater enthusiast that has what it takes to experience over 26 miles of paddling, more than 100 rapids, and all the big wave hits the Gauley has to offer in a single day.

Previous experience is recommended, and a bit of physical stamina is a must. This trip is a full day of excitement.
